Gabby Henty this week prosecuted the first trial in Sussex since lockdown. It involved non-recent allegations of sexual assault, being part of a series of trials involving a local school. The Defendant was convicted.
Richard Barton, Joint Head of Chambers, says, ‘It is excellent news that jury trials are up and running in Sussex again; and Gabby, with her calm head and wealth of experience, is the perfect advocate to take the lead.
She has since provided invaluable feedback to our Crime Team about the practicalities of conducting hearings under the current measures.
We are, as ever, grateful to the Court staff for the sterling work that they undertake in order to ensure that trials run smoothly.’
