Philip Meredith, Nicholas Hall, Piers Reed, Sarah Lindop, Andrew Stephens, Beverley Cherrill, Dale Sullivan, Gabby Henty and Cerys Sayers all gave their time and experience in order to ensure that this practice session worked as well as possible.

Richard Barton, Joint Head of Chambers, says, ‘It is vital that we as practitioners in the Crown Court should help in any way that we can to adapt to the current, and possibly future, difficult circumstances.  I am very grateful for all those members of Westgate Chambers who gave freely of their time in order to undertake this process.

We, as a Set, are actively looking at every option concerning remote hearings, and ensuring that we achieve justice for all of our clients.

Many thanks to the Resident Judge, HHJ Laing QC, and her team of dedicated staff who facilitated this test, which by all accounts ran very smoothly’.
