Westgate Chambers, after more than three successful decades of being based in Lewes, are moving to central Brighton. The new premises are at 9 Pavilion Parade, Brighton, BN2 1RA. We will be moving towards the end of August.

Sean Gould, Senior Clerk, says, ‘We have very carefully planned this move for some considerable time. Being based closer to the Brighton Courts, and those who instruct us in that area, has obvious advantages. In addition, it provides excellent direct links to and from all areas of central London and beyond. Increasingly, our work has expanded across the whole network of Courts, and we have many dedicated members who are willing and able to travel to deal with all types of cases around the country’.

Richard Barton, Joint Head of Chambers, added, ‘This is excellent news. We have acquired premises that are ideal for a progressive Set, with facilities that allow our members to operate both from there, and also remotely, as they require. It is my clear intention that we should retain our sensible fee structure that nurtures members at all levels. Any barrister seeking a fresh start is welcome to contact me in confidence about their future with us’. rbarton@westgate-chambers.co.uk.
