Nicholas Hamblin successfully defends in Sussex murder trial

Nicholas Hamblin, instructed by Joe Harrington, and led by John Price QC (23 Essex Street), successfully secured the acquittal of a man charged with murder at a re-trial lasting 18 days before HHJ Laing QC and a jury sitting at Brighton. The defendant had been jointly charged with a fellow Italian national of the 2019 murder of an Albanian man inside a house in Brighton.

It was a cut-throat defence, with each defendant blaming the other for the multiple blunt force and stabbing injuries inflicted upon the victim.  The co-defendant was found guilty by the jury.
