Andrew Jefferies QC
Known for his work across the full range of serious crime. He has acted in cases which receive considerable national attention, and has managed to secure acquittals in many cases relating to severe crimes.
Strengths: “He keeps going from strength to strength. He gets good results and he works very hard.”


Richard Barton
Continues to be instructed in highly complex and serious criminal cases, including murder, drug offences, child abduction and child sexual exploitation. He acts for both the prosecution and the defence, and has been instructed in a number of cases concerning road accidents and motor deaths.
Strengths: “He’s very meticulous, very careful and highly articulate.”
Recent work: Instructed in a case concerning a man charged with the sexual assault and attempted kidnapping of a woman at knife point.

Nicholas Hamblin
An experienced and accomplished criminal barrister who is well known for his work across all areas of criminal law. He is a specialist in cases concerning white-collar fraud, firearms and animal welfare.
Strengths: “The way he dealt with the judge was very good, and he kept the jury involved very well. His closing speech was exceptional.”

Philip Meredith
Highly experienced advocate with a range of expertise in cases concerning serious violence, child and adult sexual offences and homicide. Handles cases as both prosecution and defence counsel.
Recent work: Successfully prosecuted a teacher charged with the rape of a 14-year-old student.

Sarah Lindop
Known for the quality of her practice defending clients facing serious sexual offence charges. She is adept at handling vulnerable witnesses and defendants, and is also extremely strong in managing cases with an international aspect. Her work with nervous or vulnerable defendants is also praised.

Beverley Cherill
A versatile criminal barrister whose practice covers all areas of serious crime, from historic and current sexual offences to drug conspiracies. Acting for both the prosecution and defence in equal measure, she has an excellent record in cases concerning sexual offences.
