We at Westgate Chambers are maintaining our comprehensive service in our specialist areas of law despite the current lockdown.  Many members of Chambers are, on a daily basis, undertaking hearings via telephone and the Internet, and seeking to assist those who instruct us, in order to ensure that we continue to provide top-quality advice and representation.
Richard Barton, Joint Head of Chambers, says ‘These are unprecedented times for all our clients, whose cases will often have a profound effect on their lives; and the extra anxiety of not having a face-to-face hearing can only exacerbate those concerns.  I am confident that every member of Westgate is continuing to use their utmost skill and endeavours to ensure that their cases are dealt with on a fair and just basis.
I would like to put on record our gratitude to all the court staff, who are doing sterling work in these difficult times.  Without their input as key workers none of us would be able to keep the justice system running. We owe them all a debt of gratitude.’
