Greg is a criminal defence specialist who regularly represents those accused of serious offences.

He knows that for his clients, the result is everything and uses his enormous experience of the law, tactics and persuasive advocacy to secure an acquittal.  This approach has established a loyal following of solicitors and clients who repeatedly come back to him both because of the results he achieves and also because he never forgets that at the heart of every case is the client.

Greg’s interest in science enables him to understand, deploy and cross-examine expert witnesses in a highly effective way across cases involving the most serious crimes.

As well as his extensive experience in organised and violent crime, Greg is also instructed regularly in large and complex cases often with an international dimension including cases involving financial crime, fraud, money laundering (including defences involving the Hawala Remittance System) and confiscation proceedings.  He also has an in-depth knowledge of regulatory law.

Several cases that Greg has taken to the Court of Appeal (Criminal Division) have helped to shape several areas of law including money laundering and conspiracies and sentencing under the Sexual Offences Act 2003.

Police Law

Greg receives instructions from the Police on a wide range of issues. He accepts instructions to prosecute Domestic Violence Protection Order (DVPO’s), advising on and undertaking Legal Professional Privilege (LPP) sifts, as well as acting for various Police authorities and the British Transport Police in Inquests.
