Kyle is a civil law specialist who also accepts instructions in criminal law.
Kyle has a wealth of experience of working with private and public sector clients including solicitor firms, central government departments and local authorities (including London Borough Councils). He is adept at providing advice and advocacy with matters involving civil and criminal litigation and enforcement. Kyle is therefore highly adaptable and brings an array of skills to cases.
Kyle also holds a Master of Laws (LLM) degree which focused on Dispute Resolution and costs sanctions. Kyle has conducted small claims and fast-track trials. He has also deal with a range of routine interim hearings such as case management hearings, strike out and set aside applications.
Further, Kyle accepts instructions in cases involving general civil litigation, injunctions, contempt proceedings, and contractual disputes.
Having spent several years both as a litigation paralegal in private practice and as a legal officer/court representative at a London Borough Council, Kyle has conducted a long list of cases involving debt recovery, landlord and tenant, property and housing litigation.
Kyle also regularly advises and represents local government bodies, housing associations and public bodies including the Environment Agency, the Insolvency Service and the Director of Border Revenue in relation to various applications and appeals under the Anti-social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014 (injunctions, community protection notices and criminal behaviour orders) and Environmental Protection Act 1990.
He has particular experience of cross-jurisdictional (criminal/civil) cases and is able to deploy all the expertise he gained in-house with the London Borough Council to strengthen his approach to his cases.
Kyle accepts instructions to prosecute and defend in Magistrates’ and Crown Court cases.
He deals with a broad range of trials, sentencing, appeals against conviction/sentence and other general criminal matters. His cases include driving offences, theft, assaults, drugs charges, contested ancillary proceedings such as confiscation under the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002.
