She has successfully represented clients in matrimonial finance proceedings, handling matters from the initial stages through to final hearings, and specifically welcomes work in this area. She also regularly represents clients at court in small claims and fast-track hearings.

Family Finance:
Her expertise includes matrimonial finance proceedings, cohabitation claims, Schedule 1 claims and related financial disputes. She welcomes instructions in private FDRs and has experience advising and representing clients on the division of assets upon divorce and other standalone applications, including spousal maintenance, enforcement of financial orders, set-aside applications and notice to show cause applications. Neive welcomes work in ToLATA claims. Prior to coming to the Bar, Neive worked in accounting, giving her a strong eye for forensic detail. She is a compelling advocate who places great value on helping clients fully understand their options. Her approach is centred on ensuring clients have a clear understanding of the possible outcomes.
Private Law (Child Arrangements Programme (CAP)):
Neive has a broad private child practice, providing clear and robust representation in high‑conflict Children Act matters, including drafting and court work. Taking a collaborative approach, she works with families to manage conflict constructively and prioritise the child’s welfare. Neive regularly represents vulnerable clients, including in cases involving domestic abuse or controlling /coercive behaviour, and has experience at all stages of proceedings, including fact-finding hearings. She is accredited in Advocacy for Vulnerable People and Children (Family), allowing her to tailor her advocacy to the needs of vulnerable parties and children.
Protective Injunctions (Family Law Act 1996 Applications):
Neive provides expert, empathetic advice and representation in complex FLA 1996 applications, including non-molestation and occupation orders, ensuring clients have continuity of counsel.
Direct Access
Neive is Direct Access Trained and practises exclusively in Family Law, handling all aspects of private family work with a particular focus on financial remedies and private children work. She welcomes international finance and children cases, including parental abduction and Hague convention matters.
