“Alissa continues to earn fantastic results. Friendly and caring, but robust in how she represents her clients”

Alissa is a Criminal and Family law specialist with over 25 years’ experience.  She is recognised for a calm but authoritative manner that leaves clients with complete confidence in her handling of their case.

During her career, Alissa has built both a flourishing practice and a well-deserved reputation for competent and compassionate handling of vulnerable clients.  She has extensive experience of dealing with those with low cognitive functioning, neurodiversity and other mental health issues, particularly in terms of representing clients in Mental Health Tribunals.

Care Proceedings

Alissa predominantly represents parents but has also acted for children via their Guardian/s.  Alissa has particular experience in cases involving allegations of sexual assault, non-accidental injury and chronic neglect.

Criminal Law

Alissa accepts instructions for defence work for her growing criminal practice.  She represents clients charged with a broad range of offences, from complex multi-handed burglaries to sexual offences.

The opportunity to lecture on the Bar Course has allowed Alissa to further develop her skills by teaching both Criminal Advocacy and Advanced Criminal Advocacy.

In addition to practicing, Alissa was a part-time Lecturer at City St George’s, University of London on the BVS course for 6 years.  Alissa also taught Criminal Advocacy, Advanced Criminal Advocacy, Criminal Litigation and Evidence, Conference Skills and Opinion Writing.
