Cerys has a busy financial remedy practice and is frequently instructed on matters regarding the division of family and commercial assets in needs and sharing cases.

Cerys has experience in dealing with financial remedy matters which involve different jurisdictions, inheritance issues, Global maintenance, company/business and pension valuations, tax complications as well as undisclosed and fraudulent documents.

With specialist knowledge in enforcement and securing costs, Cerys is highly adept at ensuring errant parties are forced to comply with final orders at their own expense.

Cerys also accepts instructions across the full spectrum of TOLATA matters.

 

Child Arrangements

Cerys regularly represents parents in complex child arrangement cases from the outset, through to culmination, in contested fact find and final hearings.

She has specific expertise in dealing with cases which involve serious domestic abuse, such as coercive control, parental alienation and additional dimensions such as substance abuse, mental health, honour-based violence and factious disorder.

Cerys is also regularly instructed in relation to specific issue and prohibited steps orders, as well as non-molestation orders and occupation orders. Cerys has particular experience in domestic and foreign relocation, change of schools, residence and enforcement.

Cerys is often instructed by parents, grandparents and the child, through their 16.4 Guardian (both CAFCASS and NYAS) and undertakes Young Person Appointments (YPA).


NCDR

Cerys is a passionate exponent of all forms of Non-Court Dispute Resolution (NCDR), including private FDR’s and regularly represents clients in mediations, arbitrations and Early Neutral Evaluations, in both Private Law Children and Financial Remedy matters.

Cerys also provides advice and representation to lay clients via Direct Access across all areas of her practice. Obtaining Cerys’ expert input when relationships break down, so that you can protect yourself, your children and home, can help achieve a safe, positive and holistic outcome in the short and long term.

She continues to be invited to speak at many high profile legally focussed conferences including the Family Law Week annual conference and appear as a guest on various podcasts to analyse current family law issues.
