Before commencing pupillage, Wiktoria worked as a Team Leader for the Witness Service, where she was responsible for the delivery of the service across three court centres and a remote live-link site. In this role, she worked closely with the judiciary, HMCTS, CPS, police, and Witness Care Unit, gaining a broad understanding of the wider operation of the Criminal Justice System.
Prior to leading the team, Wiktoria completed a nine-month University placement with the Witness Service, during which she provided emotional support and information about the court process to victims and witnesses. She supported witnesses in all calibre of cases, from anti-social behaviour to murder. She prides herself on her ability to adapt her approach and communication style to an individual’s needs.
In addition to her studies and work, Wiktoria volunteered with the Free Representation Unit, representing a client before an Employment Tribunal. As a native Polish speaker, she volunteered for Legal Translation Service, acting as an interpreter during client conferences and translating legal documents. Wiktoria also volunteers with Vocalise, an organisation that teaches prison inmates public speaking and debating skills.
In her free time, Wiktoria enjoys skiing, swimming, and painting.
