On Thursday, 15th September members of Westgate Chambers teamed up for the Sussex Law Society Quiz at the Palm Court Restaurant on Brighton Palace Pier.

With the combined dazzling legal brilliance around the table, we managed to creep into an almost respectable but ultimately comfortable mid-table finish.

In mitigation it appears the range of topics covered  by the question master moved the parameters of the Sussex Law Society Quiz well outside family, criminal and civil law!

More importantly, we were proud to contribute to the main point of the evening, the raffle to provide some much needed financial support for the President’s charities for the year, The Brighton Yoga Foundation and The Starr Trust.  We hope the case of champagne tempted some of the other teams to dig deep and buy a few more tickets.

We’d also like to thank the organisers of the Sussex Law Society Quiz for a fantastic night from all the members of our team – Gareth Burrows, John Hatton, Cerys Sayer, Greg Johnson, Scott Sharp and Adam Armstrong and Stuart Taylor from our clerking room.
