Linda is a Family Law specialist. A powerhouse locally, who has extensive experience of complex cases including non-accidental injury, sexual abuse, FII and cases with an international element.
Linda is chair of The Sussex Family Justice Board, Private Law Sub Group.
Linda’s first professional qualification was a Certificate of Qualification in Social Work (CQSW). As a social worker she worked initially with vulnerable adults, including those with mental health issues, learning and/or physical disabilities before moving to work in child protection and childcare.
Linda undertook s47 child protection investigations, carried out parenting assessments, assessments of kinship carers, and assessments of prospective adopters and acted as lead social worker in a number of care proceedings, experience that has given her a unique insight and experience in care proceedings.
Care Proceedings
Linda accepts instructions on behalf of Parents, children’s guardians and intervenors. Due to Linda’s experience, she deals with cases that has issues involving complex medical issues in NAI allegations, FII cases, serious physical, sexual and emotional harm and neglect.
Private Law/Child Arrangements
Linda’s considerable experience in Family Law, also sees her receive instructions in Private Law Children disputes that have issues of, Coercive control, Parental Alienation as well as general child arrangements.
Linda has a reputation for her conscientious and thorough preparation and this, together with her approachable, sensitive and empathic manner enables her to quickly win the confidence and trust of clients. She is renowned for her excellent negotiation and advocacy skills coupled with good humour and a cool, calm approachable demeanour which clients and advocates alike can relate to.
