Hayley Jayne Blundell

Hayley joined Chambers as a tenant after successfully completing pupillage under the supervision of Gareth Burrows, Dale Sullivan and Greg Johnson.
Hayley is developing a general criminal practice defending and prosecuting a broad range of offences. She regularly appears in the Crown Court and is a Grade 1 prosecutor. Hayley accepts instructions in Sussex, London, the South East and the North West of England.
Hayley has successfully mitigated away from immediate custody repeatedly in complex matters, using her skills to listen to clients and share their life story concisely.
Hayley’s previous experience working for 12 years with children, young people and families in a Northern seaside town equips her to support clients and witnesses, taking a holistic approach when advising.
As a Criminal Paralegal Hayley liaised with clients and Counsel as the first point of contact in a small defence firm. This complimented her post-graduate studies in Criminology & Psychology.
Previously a County Court Advocate for 18 months, Hayley conducted over 500 hearings in a successful and busy practice. Having drafted many orders in a civil context Hayley developed a sharp mind and the ability to engage with opponents, professional and lay clients, whilst making strong submissions, challenging complex ancillary orders.
Hayley hails from a Northern seaside town and is an avid theatre enthusiast.
