Barrister

Lauren joined Chambers as a tenant in April 2024 upon successful completion of her pupillage and is building experience across the spectrum of Family and Crime work.

Private Law Children

Lauren is regularly instructed by parents in child arrangements proceedings, including the enforcement and variation of such orders. Lauren often deals with cases involving prohibited steps, relocation, domestic abuse and non-molestation orders.

Financial Remedies

Lauren is also instructed in financial remedy matters regarding the division of marital assets, including the first appointment (FDA) and the financial dispute resolution hearing (FDR), in which she has dealt with litigation conduct and non-disclosure of assets.

Public Law Children

Lauren is instructed by parents in care proceedings, including cases in which care orders and supervision orders are sought. Lauren also accepts instructions on behalf of local authorities.

Crime

Lauren is routinely instructed to represent clients in a range of Crown Court hearings, such as committals for sentence, breach hearings and PTPHs. Lauren has represented a number of vulnerable clients as well as youths.

Prior to pupillage, Lauren worked as a legal assistant in a small personal injury firm, during which she would analyse serious and complex injury cases to determine whether to offer conditional fee agreements. 

Alongside her Bar training, Lauren volunteered within the BPP Legal Advice Clinic, advising clients on issues such as divorce and separation, child arrangements and domestic abuse.

Outside of work, Lauren enjoys dog walks across the coast and South Downs. She also enjoys skiing and travelling to new countries.
