Sofia Santos

Pupil

Sofia commenced a specialist family pupillage in October 2024 under the supervision of Sarah Taite.

Before pupillage, Sofia worked as a paralegal in the family department of a legal aid law firm in London where she worked on both public and private children law matters. Sofia worked with a range of clients and gained particular experience in working with members of the Gypsy, Roma, Traveller community and neurodivergent clients.

Sofia comes to the Bar following a career in advertising where she worked collaboratively alongside high-net-worth clients to achieve their desired outcomes. Sofia completed her Bar with an LLM, where she volunteered for the Pro Bono Unit at The University of Law representing clients in their housing matters from initial advice through to support during hearings.

During her GDL and Bar Course studies, Sofia volunteered with the Prison Advice and Care Trust supporting defendants and their families in navigating the criminal justice system. Sofia was also a casework volunteer at Advocate where she reviewed applications for legal representation and produced case summaries.

In her spare time, Sofia enjoys travelling, cooking and running.
